SAI, a software products and consulting firm helping clients optimize their business performance, digital properties and IT operations, today announced that Retail industry expert Herbert Kleinberger has joined the company as a member of its Advisory Board.
"Herb's Retail industry experience, serving many of the world's largest retailers over more than twenty-five years, brings an incredible level of industry knowledge and understanding to SAI as we continue to grow our Acadia Performance Platform business in Retail" said Ric Hughes, CEO at SAI.
Kleinberger spent much of his career leading the retail consulting practice of Price Waterhouse/PwC Consulting, moving to IBM in 2002 when PwC sold their consulting business to IBM. While at IBM he lead IBM’s global retail strategy practice and was responsible for publishing several landmark whitepapers on the future of the retailing industry.
Herb is an adjunct professor at the NYU Stern School of Business where he teaches an M.B.A. class in retailing. He also is a senior advisor to Staley Capital, a venture fund which focuses on retail and consumer technology where he provides merger and acquisition guidance and sits on the board of Staley portfolio company 4R Systems.
A graduate of the State University of New York with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, he also received an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and attended the advanced management program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School.
