Hunt Valley, MD, October 27, 2015 - Systems Alliance, Inc. (SAI), a digital and IT consulting firm helping clients build, assess and optimize online properties, today announced the launch of a redesigned website for the Eno Center for Transportation as the go-to resource for information on transportation policy, research and professional training.
The Eno Center for Transportation (Eno) was founded in 1921 by William Phelps Eno, who pioneered the field of traffic management in the United States and Europe and laid the ground work for safer traffic-flow management by writing the first-ever rules of the road.
Eno needed to optimize their website so that visitors would engage more fully with the Center and become members, as well as offer seamless navigation from public content to members-only content. They wanted to modernize their site to become mobile friendly, intuitive for visitors and easy for staff to manage.
SAI’s Digital practice architected a site that aligns with Eno’s vision and optimizes the member’s experience. After extensive analysis, including surveys with key stakeholders, web traffic analysis and card sort activities, the SAI team recommended features and enhancements that would provide audiences an engaging and interactive user experience.
Key objectives of the new design are to:
- Create a dynamic, mobile friendly user experience for visitors and members
- Position Eno as a thought leader in the transportation industry by highlighting expertise through commentary, articles and publications
- Drive recruitment through preview content that allows non-members to sample members only resources
- Serve as a valuable resource to members through access to a robust document library, with documents dating back over 100 years
The new site leverages mobile-optimized responsive design techniques, streamlines content management, and showcases Eno courses, events and publications.
