Systems Alliance, a digital and IT consulting firm that helps clients build, assess and optimize online properties, today announced the redesign of the Insurance Agents & Brokers (IA&B) website. IA&B is an association of independent insurance agents in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. The organization is committed to providing professional training, agency tool development, government affairs work and legal advocacy for its members.
The redesigned site, which was built using responsive design techniques, is integrated with the new Association Management System that the organization implemented earlier this year. The strategic goal of the new site was to create a very member-centric design that was well aligned with the new AMS. IA&B even changed the website URL to www.iabforme.com to reinforce the new branding message.
The IA&B site was already hosted on SiteExecutive™, Systems Alliance’s flagship web content management system, which made the process of restructuring content and applying a new mobile friendly design very efficient. IA&B leveraged many of the features of SiteExecutive 2013 including new structured content capabilities which allow for reuse of content throughout the site, simplifying content authoring. The new site search in SiteExecutive 2013, which is powered by Apache Solr, provides a better user experience, making content easy to find throughout the site.
Highlights of the new site include an engaging visual design, emphasizing white space and content scannability, while responsive web design provides visitors with an optimal mobile experience. A consistent visual appearance and navigation across the website and AMS user interfaces was key to ensure a seamless user experience for members.
“We wanted to rely on experts with this redesign. Instead of us directing the work, we wanted experience and knowledge telling us what to do,” said Jason Ernest, Deputy CEO & Counsel, IA&B. “That's exactly what happened with Systems Alliance. They were excellent guides, and the result is a dynamic, clean, user-friendly website.”
