Systems Alliance, a Digital and IT consulting firm helping clients build, assess and optimize online properties and IT operations, today announced that former Modell’s and Wal-Mart executive, David Hoodis, has joined the company as a member of its Advisory Board.
“David’s knowledge in the retail industry is unsurpassed. Years of analyzing and solving challenging problems at Wal-Mart and Modell’s have equipped him with invaluable knowledge and experience that will help guide our business as we introduce new products and consulting services in this space,” said Ric Hughes, president and CEO, Systems Alliance.
Hoodis was most recently EVP of Operations at Modell’s Sporting Goods, where his responsibilities included store operations, HR, strategy, ecommerce, logistics, construction, store planning, facilities, administrations, visual merchandising, communication, and customer service. While in this role he was able to lead the effort to re-launch Modell’s by updating the brand holistically.
Prior to Modell’s, Hoodis made significant contributions on the Business Innovations team at Wal-Mart corporate headquarters in Bentonville. During his tenure at Wal-Mart, Hoodis initially worked on the strategy for non-retail divisions and then moved into U.S. store operations where he had responsibility for innovations initiatives in day to day store operations, strategic planning and direction, field communication, and customer service.
Prior to Wal-Mart, Hoodis served as CIO at Prime Retail LLP and as a consultant at Ernst & Young.
Hoodis is well respected for his retail industry experience and continues to work with retail clients, industry leaders and on the boards of several companies to create innovative, profitable retailers.
