Well it’s here; time to gather with family, eat til we’re stuffed and watch some football as we drift off into a tryptophan induced coma. It feels like just yesterday we were screaming “Happy New Year!” and kissing our loved ones at midnight. Late last year Google opened up Google+ to Google Apps customers as an enterprise communication and collaboration platform. This past June, Microsoft acquired Yammer, a popular enterprise social networking platform. But the key to effectively leveraging social media is, first and foremost, to have a strategy. Too many organizations jump into social media because everyone else is doing it without really thinking through the implications. You need a marketing strategy for social media just like for any other marketing campaign, even more so since with social media you don’t have full control of the message....Read More
