This year, fall semester began on September 1 at Flagler College in St. Augustine Florida. Among the big changes greeting students, faculty and staff is the school's new Website.
Designed by Systems Alliance, the new site runs on the SiteExecutive CMS. Its notable features include:
- Mobile-friendly templates that allow automatically adapt content for display on iPhones and other mobile devices
- Separate microsites for alumni and advancement
- Compliance with accessibility standards
- Online Viewbook
- Rotating background images
- Student gallery
- Video gallery
- Google search
The site's re-development began with a detailed as-is assessment of Flagler's Website, content management processes, Web operations and overall Web strategy. From this research, SAI Web Effectiveness consultants produced a blueprint outlining the steps needed for Flagler to meet its online goals.
Beyond addressing site architecture, design and functional requirements, the SAI team provided Flagler with guidance for revamping its ongoing Web operations. This approach is especially useful for organization’s interested in expanding “ownership” of the Website and promoting widespread content contribution, while maintaining effective site governance and quality control.
