Gas & Electric Utility Industry Expert Mike Sullivan Joins SAI Advisory Board
Sullivan’s expertise in electric and gas sectors will inform expansion of Acadia Performance Platform.
Sullivan has more than 35 years’ experience across operations, maintenance, construction, engineering and customer service. He recently retired as a senior executive from Pepco Holdings (now part of Exelon) in Washington DC.
“There is no larger, more complex system in the world than the power grid. Because this massive system has been built up over the last 100+ years it requires a highly specialized workforce to maintain, operate and expand the system. Much of the knowledge needed to support and enhance the grid, exists in the heads of its aging workforce,” said Sullivan.
“Acadia can help to organize that knowledge in one, easy to access platform. It also brings flexibility and speed of deployment, something that will play well in the utility industry. We need the ability for those in the field to easily collaborate with those at the shop to solve problems and maintain the consistent service customers expect.”
Since retiring Sullivan has been working as an independent management consultant for the energy industry. having overseen hundreds of technology deployments throughout his career, he is in a unique position to provide assessments on existing power grids and upcoming projects.
