Director, IT Strategy and Operations Practice
Mark leads SAI’s IT Strategy and Operations (ITSO) practice, solving complex problems at the intersection of People, Process, and Technology. Since dropping anchor at SAI in 2014, Mark has been serving IT leaders across the Commercial and Healthcare industries in a variety of areas. Typical SAI ITSO projects focus on the alignment of IT service delivery capabilities with the business, org design and staff development, re-engineering and implementation of service delivery processes and other opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the IT team.
Prior to joining SAI, Mark served as an Information Professional Officer in the United States Navy. During eight years of active duty, Mark delivered IT services in a variety of dynamic and results oriented environments. His experience leading the IT department for a Carrier Air Wing in Japan as well as serving on the CIO’s staff at the United States Naval Academy have given him unique insights into how to best approach and manage complex client challenges.
Mark earned an MBA from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, a BS in Information Sciences and Technology from the Pennsylvania State University, and a graduate certificate in Information Systems and Operations from the US Naval Postgraduate School.
