-Technical Leader, skilled in all facets of development related to requirements gathering, database & application design, development and testing and documentation of GIS solutions, primarily in the .NET environment.
-Comfortable working closely with project managers, technical staff, and other team members to deliver GIS solutions to clients with responsibilities for deliverables and schedule.
Individual responsibilities include:
Ø Technical marketing meetings with existing and potential clients.
Ø Participation in user requirements gathering including development of use cases.
Ø System architecture design and development including technology selection, client or client/server solution, database selection, and security model, infrastructure upgrades, etc.
Ø Database design and development including database model, configuration, data migration, security and performance tuning/monitoring.
Ø Application design and development including user interface design, prototyping and development. Candidate may develop themselves or oversee a junior developer in the actual development phase.
Ø Application testing including unit, system, and integration testing.
Ø Documentation of system including user, technical, and maintenance documentation.
Required Skills:
Ø 7 or more years of applicable experience is required.
Ø Strong system/solution architecture skills.
Ø Object oriented design.
Ø ESRI’s geodatabase including relationship classes, topology, networking, versioning, etc.
Ø ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, and ArcObjects.
Ø Relational databases including Oracle or SQL Server as well as procedural/query languages including SQL, Oracle’s PL/SQL, or Microsoft’s T-SQL.
Ø .NET Framework development (C# or VB).
Ø Scripting/mark up languages including HTML, DHTML, KML, XML, and JavaScript Preferred skills: Geodatabase replication.
Ø Programming and scripting languages: Python, Java, JSP.
Ø SOAP-based web service development.
Ø Integration of document management systems with GIS candidate must demonstrate a successful history applying these products/technologies for various clients.
Degrees/Certifications/Licenses
· Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with a minimum of 7 years of applicable experience is required
· Masters Degree preferred
U.S. Citizenship Required.
