Systems Alliance Completes Web Strategy Blueprint for Flagler College and Is Retained to Redesign and Deliver New Website

Plan for Nationally Ranked Florida College Details Roadmap for Site Redevelopment; Addresses Web Marketing and New Media Integration, People Processes, Governance and Technology

BALTIMORE, June 1, 2010 – Systems Alliance Inc., a regional systems integrator providing high-value IT and business consulting services, today announced it had completed a Web strategy blueprint for St. Augustine, Florida-based Flagler College. Based on the quality of its work and Web consulting capabilities, Flagler awarded Systems Alliance a contract to redesign and deliver a new Website, which will run on SiteExecutive™, Systems Alliance’s Web CMS.

Systems Alliance consultants delivered the blueprint at a workshop for all Flagler stakeholders, including the school’s president, Dr. William T. Abare. Commenting on the project, Abare said, “The Systems Alliance team has done an outstanding job of assessing our current Web operations and laying out a detailed plan for transforming Flagler.edu and our campus-wide Web operations. Their understanding of higher education, Web strategy and technology make them an ideal partner for leading this project.”

Web Strategy Blueprint for Higher Education

The Web strategy blueprint project was initiated to provide decision makers at Flagler with a detailed plan for redeveloping the school’s Website and improving overall Web operations. Specifically, it addressed:

  • Integrating on- and off-line marketing campaigns
  • Empowering Admissions to manage and facilitate online recruitment marketing
  • Optimizing and improving Web operations and management
  • Expanding content creation and management responsibilities campus-wide
  • Developing requirements for effectively redesigning and re-launching Flager.edu

To prepare the Web strategy blueprint, Systems Alliance consultants first conducted a detailed as-is analysis of Flagler’s Web properties and Web operations. This audit and discovery phase of the project was organized in three workstreams focused on:

  • Site visitors – evaluating the Website visitor experience
  • Content management – analyzing content management processes and policies
  • Technology – assessing the performance, stability and viability of Web infrastructure

Project deliverables included Web visitor and stakeholder surveys, audits of on and off-line marketing materials, the development of site visitor personas, heuristic and tool-based analyses, and comparisons of the Flagler site with those of competing and best-in-class institutions.
