Our Client: Global Telecommunications Infrastructure Service Provider Challenge: Significant improvements in the integration of devices and applications have created marketplace opportunities for well-known global brands to deploy Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) businesses. MVNOs acquire wholesale bandwidth from wireless carriers, aggregate with applications and targeted branding, and sell packaged wireless services to specific demographic targets. This concept has proven very successful in Europe and Asia and is emerging in North America and Latin America. Our client’s professional services organization has taken on the delivery responsibilities of packaging applications and infrastructure for various emerging MVNOs and needed a method to ensure successful delivery of these very large projects. Solution: Systems Alliance business and technology consultants quickly went to work, confirming the requirements for selecting mobile applications, assessing our client’s hosting infrastructure and developing a framework for measuring and mitigating project delivery risk. Most MVNO candidates are newly created entities or organizations and must rely on our client and other delivery resources to create, package and initially deploy the appropriate infrastructure. Systems Alliance collaborated with our client to develop and implement a scorecard approach for identifying and qualifying MVNO sales candidates best positioned to succeed. These steps allowed our client to identify and deliver larger, more profitable projects without incurring an unmanageable level of risk. | | | | | | | | Client Type: Fortune Global 500 Telecom Service Provider | | | Services Delivered: | | - | Infrastructure Assessment | | - | Program Risk Evaluation |
